MODEM WITH MONITOR FUNCTION, METHOD FOR MONITORING MODEM, ITS PROGRAM AND MEDIUM RECORDING PROGRAM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modem for measuring parameters concerning to connection of modem, a method for monitoring the modem, its program and a medium recording the program.;SOLUTION: Upon receiving a connection request from its own computer terminal 2, the control section 11 of the modem 1 calls the opposite modem using a public circuit network 3 and connects the circuit before entering a state for waiting an 'ANSam' signal from the opposite modem. After the circuit is connected, the opposite modem transmits the 'ANSam' signal to the public circuit network 3. The 'ANSam' signal from the opposite modem is passed through the public circuit network 3 and a circuit control section 14 and received at a receiving/demodulating section 15 where that signal is detected as the 'ANSam' signal of a specified frequency pattern and informed to the control section 11. A control signal acquiring section 18 acquires information of ''ANSam' signal is received' informed to the control section 11 and provides a display ''ANSam' signal is received' through a data analyzing section 19 to a display section 20.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
