PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a doctor to directly and quickly know the completion of an inspection result and its contents and to eliminate patient's unnecessary waiting time. SOLUTION: In the insepection result informing method for medical information system 1 provided with a host computer 11 having a data base for storing medical information, a doctor's terminal equipment 12a and an inspection terminal equipment 13, by inputting inspection result data to be an inspection result from the equipment 13, the fact that the input of the inspection result data to the display screen of a doctor's terminal equipment 12a to be used by a user instructed to carry out the inspection has been inputted, is information- displayed. When information display appears on the display screen the equipment 12a, the inspection result data are displayed on the display screen of the equipment 12a by executing operation for displaying the contents of the information display.
