PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water cleaning device composed of plural water cleaning units capable of performing water cleaning operation continuously while keeping the water cleaning performance by adequately cleaning and regenerating the water cleaning units, the operation method thereof and the water cleaning unit. SOLUTION: The water cleaning unit 6a is carried to the water cleaning device 11 and cleaned. A cylinder is pushed out by actuating a water cleaning unit moving means 10 to push the water cleaning unit group 7 to move to the upstream side. The water cleaning unit 6a completing the water cleaning is carried to the last end of the water cleaning unit group 7 and is taken down in a water passage 3 to be mounted. The continuous operation is performed by repeating the procedure.
