PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve assembling work efficiency even when a DC motor is assembled in the sequence of assembling an armature after assembling of a brush and eliminate necessity of a new measure resulting from improvement of the assembling work efficiency.;SOLUTION: A stopper 14, which is loaded to a brush holder 11 of a DC motor in such a manner as closing the base end of the holder, includes an engaging pawl 20 and a holding engaging piece 21 at a pair of extending pieces 19 thereof. The stopper 14 is tentatively fixed to the brush holder 11 when the engaging pawl 20 is engaged with an engaging projection 16, under the condition that the holding engaging pawl 21 holds a spring 13 in the compressed condition. In such tentatively fixed condition, the spring 13 does not energize the brush 12 (Fig. (b)). When the tentatively fixed stopper 14 is completely pushed into the brush holder 11 after the assembling of an armature, the holding engaging pawl 21 is widened by the brush holder 11. As a result, holding condition of the spring 13 is cancelled and the holding engaging pawl 21 engages with the engaging projection 16 (Fig. (c)).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
