PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reasonably producing a semi-foreign style cake in a large scale.;SOLUTION: A method for producing a Turkish delight-like food material by thinly laying the liquid dough of a raw material comprising a raw material powder in which a modified starch is a main ingredient, mixed with, if needed, glutinous rice flour and/or nonglutinous rice flour and sugar, preferably the raw material in which 1-50% of the glutinous rice and/or 200-350% of the nonglutinous rice are added to the modified starch on a baking mold and baking the dough is provided. This method for producing a cake comprising a Turkish delight-like food material and a sponge cake is to prepare the liquid dough by the aforesaid method, contour an arbitrary shape in a thick line with a sponge cake dough which is separately prepared, or continuously draw two thick lines almost in parallel with an arbitrary space with the sponge cake dough, lay the liquid dough inside of the thick lines, further thinly lay the aforesaid sponge cake dough in a laminar state and simultaneously bake them.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
