PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and accurately determining the necessary addition amount of a chelate type metal collector in removing a heavy metal component in heavy metal-containing wastewater by adding the chelate type metal collector to the heavy metalcontaining wastewater, and a method and an apparatus for controlling chemical injection effectively on the basis of the calculated necessary addition amount.;SOLUTION: The chelate type metal collector is added to the heavy metal- containing wastewater, and the addition amount of the chelate type metal collector and the change quantity of ORPs of the wastewater before and after the addition of the chelate type metal collector are measured and, on the basis of this measuring result, the necessary addition amount of the chelate type metal collector is determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
