PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an iron cover opening and closing tool, which will not need a truck crane or the like, and only several persons can do the job, and will take least time, and is safe and can be used for each kind of underground box.;SOLUTION: A hydraulic jack 3 is installed within a body A of a tool which is long in the length direction, and a locking part 6 which can move vertically by the hydraulic jack 3 is provided at the front; wheels 2 are provided to the right and left, and a cover support is provided at substantially the center of a support arm B long horizontally; a locked part 9 freely detachable from the above locking part 6 is provided at the other end of the support arm B, and the top of a lever for attachment, whose bottom is locked in a hole or a groove bored in the topside of the iron cover 18 exposed on the ground surface of the underground box is supported with the cover support of the support arm B; the support arm B is fixed to the iron cover 18, and the support arm B is locked to the tool body A by the locked part 9 of the support arm B projected in the outward direction of the iron cover 18; and the iron cover 18 can be pulled up and shifted by the action of the hydraulic jack 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
