PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for obtaining high purity vanadium and the powder thereof at a low cost.;SOLUTION: In the method for obtaining metallic vanadium by reducing vanadium pentoxide, at first, vanadium pentoxide as the raw material is heated in the coexistence of hydrogen and is reduced into lower oxide such as vanadium trioxide and vanadium monoxide.
