PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst having the characteristics substantially improved as compared with the catalyst of the prior art relating to activity and stability.;SOLUTION: The two-metal deposited catalyst contains a group VIII metal like platinum and tin having at least a portion having the powerful interaction with the group VIII metal in the catalyst in a reduced state. In the partially oxidized state, this catalyst contains at least 10% tin in the form of reduced tin species in the oxidized state 0. The species have 0.80 to 2.60 mm/s isomeric nucleus shift and 0.65 to 2.0 mm/s quadruple splitting. This invention relates to the method of manufacturing the catalyst described above and also relates to methods of using the catalyst for conversion of an aromatic compound to hydrocarbon like a method of reforming gasoline and a method of manufacturing an aromatic compd.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
