PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply create a suitable equal color space according to the actual situation on the spot using a color, and to structure an equal color space wherein a perceptive color difference agrees with in-space Euclidean distance in an outputted space. SOLUTION: Color distinction threshold information collecting limit colors that cannot be visually distinguished from one primary color is stored with regard to plural primary colors. A color space that is not a primary equal color space is divided into triangular small elements, and the suitableness of the space is quantified. The vertexes of the small elements are diversely moved so as not to stride over a side or a surface of another small element, thereby looking for a combination of vertexes positions having the most excellent suitableness.
