PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-filing original reader and original reader that can protect the copyright for a literary work, such as a novel described on a one-file original. SOLUTION: The reader 100 is provided with an HD 105d, that stores a copyright database where ISBN(International Standard Book Number) for various books and copyright information corresponding to them are described in cross-reference with each other, a bar code reader 104 that reads the ISBN as the identification information of a book in the form of a bar code, a CPU 105a that identifies the copyright information corresponding to the ISBN read by the bar code reader 104, based on the database of the copyright and a printer 200 that prints out image information read by a scanner section 106b.
