PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mill a large size work with a compact structure.;SOLUTION: A column 1 is stood vertically to a device installation face, and a gear 3 is formed around the column 1. Whereby a column rotating means where the column 1 is rotated left and right on a column shaft is formed. An arm 8 extended in the radial direction of the column 1 is vertically movable along the column 1 by means of a ball screw 7, and revolved on the column 1 shaft integrally with the column 1. The arm 8 is provided with a spindle head 11 capable of being located on a suitable position in its extending direction. An end mill 18 of the spindle head 11 is revolved left and right on the column shaft by the revolving of the arm 8. Whereby a surface of the work 16 can be milled.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
