METHOD OF MANUFACTURING SPECTACLE FRAME MADE OF TITANIUM-ZIRCONIUM-NIOBIUM ALLOY BASE AND TITANIUM- ZIRCONIUM-NIOBIUM-TANTALUM ALLOY BASE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of easily and inexpensively manufacturing a spectacle frame which is heretofore considered difficult with plastic working and the spectacle frame and spectacles obtained by the same.;SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the spectacle frame made of a titanium-zirconium-niobium alloy base and a titanium-zirconium-niobium- tantalum alloy base comprises using the titanium-zirconium-niobium alloy base and titanium-zirconium-niobium-tantalum alloy base materials as blanks and casting the materials by a precision casting method (investment casting method). More preferably, a casting mold is formed by a wax master pattern of the same shape as the shape of the prescribed spectacle frame and after this wax master pattern is melted off from this casting mold, the titanium-zirconium- niobium alloy base or titanium-zirconium-niobium-tantalum alloy base material is poured into the casting mold and the spectacle frame is formed from the casting formed by this pouring.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
