PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an abbreviated note display character string from a name display character string as an abbreviated note display character string which is free of trouble. SOLUTION: This method has a step for dividing the name display character string into divided word display character strings by using a word dictionary, analyzing the means of the divided word display character strings respectively, and generating a name display character string having its words divided into the divided word display character strings having means as a meant name display character string, a step for analyzing the organization structure or hierarchical structure of the name display character string with the meant name display character string by using a master-salve name display character string decision rule and generating a sectioned name display character string having a sectioning display character given between the decided master and slave name display character strings, and a step for extracting a master center name display character string, a slave center name display character string, or a master center name and slave center name display character string composed of an array of the master center name display character string and slave center name display character string as an abbreviated note display character string as to the sectioned name display character string by using a center name display character string extraction rule.
