PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a functional fiber board having deodorizing function, moisture conditioning function, and formalin capturing function, etc., useful as a core material for tatami-mat, etc.;SOLUTION: A raw material slurry having dispersed wood fiber is made into a paper and dehydrated. The mat is formed and pressed and the surface of the mat is coated with a dispersion solution of zeolite and a hydrazide derivative and then mat is dried to produce functional fiber boards 23A and 23B which have no warpage and an excellent yield and to which the zeolite and the hydrazide derivative are stuck.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
