PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ATM-PON(passive optical network) system that interlocks a signaling procedure with the OMCI(optical network termination(ONT) management and control interface), so as to provide a switch connection service to users contained in STM(synchronous transfer mode) channels and to obtain a connection control method.;SOLUTION: In the case that a network terminator 2 contains the STM channels employing a common line signal system, a Permanent Virtual Channel(PVC) connection to be corresponding to an information channel of the STM channel is set to a PON span, and the cross reference between the information channel and the PVC connection is produced by the network terminator 2 via an OMCC(ONT management and control channel) 30, that is set semi- fixed between a subscriber line terminal station device 1 and the network terminator 2.
