The narrative discusses activities at KEK, gives impressions about computer support and directions, comments on existing controls systems, and notes areas of possible future collaboration in this rather narrow field. Similar topics are outlined from a visit to the Riken design group in Tokyo. A possible small workshop, future oriented, to review software methods for accelerator projects was discussed.
