PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a family Buddhist alter which has reduced thickness, can be hung on or implanted in a wall, and a front opening of which can be readily opened and closed.;SOLUTION: The family Buddhist alter includes a box shaped body of the family Buddhist alter which has a bottom plate at the bottom portion and at least two upper and lower inside stages, a door body, an edge portion of which is pivoted at the bottom plate for rocking in a vertical direction, and a rocking stage, an edge portion of which is pivoted at the lower stage for rocking in a vertical direction. The door body serves as a shelf in the horizontal state, the rocking stage as a shelf in the horizontal state, and the upper stage as a shelf for mounting a Buddhist image. The door body rocks to serve as a cover for closing the front opening of the main body, and the rocking stage rocked upward is accommodated between the door body and the front opening.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
