PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a vanadia SCR catalyst on titania by which reliable high dispersion is carried out and an amorphous vanadia deposit is formed on titania.;SOLUTION: In the method for producing a vanadia SCR catalyst supported on titania, titania is dispersed in a solution of ammonium metavanadate (NH4VO3), the pH of the solution is adjusted to 6.8-7.3 with NH4OH and HNO3 and the resulting suspension is agitated for a time sufficient to thoroughly adsorb a vanadium compound on the titania.
