PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To expand audio service by reducing a burden for the facility establishment of a service provider making effective use of the existing facility, and provide a user with only the useful information out of a retrieval result based on the voice input of the user.;SOLUTION: The reservation stem is constructed by connecting an IVR 5 to a Web server that retrieves information from a database storing reservation information, through the Internet. The IVR 5 comprises a speech recognition part 12 and a Web input data conversion part 13 for generating data corresponding to speech information inputted by the user; a control part 18 controlling to transmit the data to the Web server; an extraction part 15 for extracting only the retrieval result useful for the user from the received retrieval results when receiving the results from the Web server that retrieves information on the basis of the data; and a reading part 16 for converting the extracted result into voice to provide the user with it.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
