PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sprocket assembly for smoothly performing shift operation between a small sprocket and a large sprocket.;SOLUTION: Separate first and second support projections are arranged on opposed side surfaces with the small sprocket in the large sprocket. The first support projection has an abutting surface for abutting to a bottom surface of outer link plates of a chain, and is formed in arrangement and the size for passing through between a pair of adjacent outer link plates, and the first support projection is arranged in the vicinity of a tooth part of the large sprocket so as to raise the chain outward in the radial direction in changing a chain shift. The second support projection has an abutting surface for abutting to a bottom surface of the chain. The second support projection is positioned inside in the radial direction more than the first support projection so that the chain positioned between both projections forms an almost linear locus by abutting to the first and second support projections.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
