PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Al-Mg-Si based aluminum alloy hollow extrusion material which has excellent bulging properties after quenching and artificial aging treatment.;SOLUTION: In this Al-Mg-Si based aluminum alloy hollow extrusion material containing, by mass, 0.4 to 1.2% Mg and 0.3 to 1.2% Si and subjected to quenching and artificial aging treatment, the rate of decrease in the thickness of the broken face when a tensile test is performed is ≥20%. The extrusion material preferably has a fibrous structure. In the case artificial aging treatment is performed after press quenching by air cooling, the contents of one or more kinds selected from Mn, Cr and Zr are controlled to be 0.10 to 0.40%.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
