PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction pad and a suction method for an object to be sucked, which enable stable suction for even the object whose outside shape is made circular and whose center is formed with a circular hole.;SOLUTION: The plural suction pads 10 are arranged concentrically on the object to be sucked, whose outside shape is made circular and whose center is formed with the circular hole, and the object is sucked by the suction pads 10. In this case, with respect to the shape of suction pad 10, the curvature of a long side part 26 of the suction pad 10 is made approximately equal to that of the outside shape of the object, and the curvature of a short side part 24 thereof is made approximately equal to that of the outside shape of the circular hole formed in the object, for the purpose of enabling the stable suction for the object.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
