PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving force transmission switching mechanism for selectively driving two members by use of a single driving source, and a disc loading mechanism for a disc player using it.;SOLUTION: The driving force transmission switching mechanism includes a drive gear member driven to rotate in response to the driving force of the driving source, and moving a first moving member when engaging the rack gear of the first moving member; a coaxial gear member comprising a first drive gear engaging the drive gear member, and a second drive gear differing in diameter from the first drive gear and coaxially integrated with the first drive gear, the coaxial gear member moving a second moving member when the second drive gear engages the rack gear of the second moving member; and an interlocking mechanism for moving one of the first and second moving members as the other of the moving members is moved.
