PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the subject method aiming at producing a large amount of lunch excellent in taste and formability even without addition of edible oil in boiling rice and easy in loosening the boiled rice when eating through producing lunch in a process of producing a large amount of lunch, by putting boiled rice while being hot on lunch boxes followed by cooling them as they are, and dishing up side dishes thereon as usual after cooling.;SOLUTION: This method for producing rice for lunch comprises molding through a split molding machine boiled rice in large amounts while being hot without addition of e.g. edible oil, putting the rice on lunch boxes followed by cooling them as they are, and if necessary manually smoothing the cooled rice so as to make lunch with boiled rice easy in getting loose.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
