PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a restaurant fee settlement device with a simple and inexpensive structure improving work efficiency of restaurant affairs by automating fee settlement of a restaurant.;SOLUTION: A camera 32 captures images of a plurality of dishes 1 on a tray 2 placed on a tray placing casing 31. A pattern detecting recognition part 34 respectively extracts recognition marks provided on the dishes 1 by a predetermined rule and decodes pattern numbers of all dishes 1 on the tray 2. A settlement calculating part 36 reads data (cuisine name, price, or the like) corresponding to the pattern numbers decoded by the pattern detecting recognition part 34 from a memory part 35 previously registered and stored with the data and displays information such as the cuisine names, prices, calories, and a total amount via a display part 37. User information or the like are read from various cards by using a card read-write part 38 to settle the fee calculated by the settlement calculating part 36.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
