PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree management device and a tree management method capable of displaying a folder and a file retained in a separate system (terminal) as a single tree structure in spite of being in a hierarchical relation each other.;SOLUTION: When a worker of a company A wants to know the parts constituting a hard disk X manufactured by a company B, the lower tree structure of the folder corresponding to the hard disk X of the company B can be displayed on the display of the terminal of the company A. When the worker of the company A drags and drops the portion of the tree display of the hard disk X on the screen of the terminal, the lower tree structure of the folder about the hard disk of the company B is newly connected below the hard disk X of the company A on the screen automatically.
