HEAD SPACE SAMPLER FOR ANALYZING VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUND IN-SITE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head space sampler capable of introducing a volatile organic compound included in soil eluate, groundwater, drain or the like into an analyzer main body by means of an automatic suction sampler without causing mixing of air or scattering of the volatile organic compound. SOLUTION: This head space sample comprises a sample bottle 1 with a capacity of about 300-1000 ml, a sealing plug 4 hermetically sealing the sample bottle 1, a head space gas suction part 6 having a quick connector 7 with a valve and penetrating the sealing plug 4, an external suction gas introducing tube 9 immersing its tip into a sample solution 3 in the sample bottle 1, a gas bag 10 connected to the external suction gas introducing tube 9, and a thermostatic water bath 12 keeping the sample bottle 1 at a fixed temperature. While an external suction gas equivalent to a gas amount sucked from the head space gas suction part in the sample bottle 1 is introduced, the external suction gas is automatically sucked so as to be introduced into the analyzer main body.
