PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication network that can manage a state in the unit of optical links by autonomously finding out the attribute of each optical link and an interconnection relation between the interfaces of the optical switch devices.;SOLUTION: An optical link section from the output interfaces IF11 to IF14 of an optical switch device 1 to input interfaces IF25 to IF28 of the adjacent optical switch device 5 is defined, and an in-band control channel for each optical link is provided between the optical switch devices 1, 5 and an optical multiplex section.
