PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To establish a method for processing Codonopsis lanceolata and put the method to practical use, enabling all of the roots, runners and leaves of Codonopsis lanceolata to be taken without waste in view of the fact that Codonopsis lanceolata is promising as a hopeful health food because of being rich in medicinal ingredients.;SOLUTION: The objective processed food of Codonopsis lanceolata fine powder is obtained in view of the fact that it has been assumed that the root of Codonopsis lanceolata is hard to dry, even if dried, it is too hard to powder, therefore, in general, the root has been soaked in a white liquor for drinking as a medicinal wine; although there have been some persons who roast the stems and leaves of Codonopsis lanceolata for drinking, much labor has been required for the roasting with cumbersomeness, therefore both the stems and leaves have not been utilized significantly, the majority thereof has been discarded so far. The method for producing the objective processed food comprises the following procedure: the roots of Codonopsis lanceolata is sliced and then dried; after sun-dried, the sliced roots, stems and leaves are force-dried with warm air further, thus enabling them to be mechanically pulverized and the resultant fine powder to be utilized as the objective processed food.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
