PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positioning structure which can easily position a cylinder type valve with respect to the body of a water faucet with good workability and can easily assemble the cylinder type valve to the body.;SOLUTION: When openings 34 and 36 for water flow are formed respectively at a cylinder valve element 30 and a casing 32 outside it, a cylinder valve 28 is positioned, relative to a body 14 of a foucet 10 in the rotating direction so as to change the opening of a water passage 26 with rotation of the cylinder valve element 30, while a first engaging recess part 33 and a second engaging recess part 46 are provided at the casing 32 and at the body 14, a positioning ring 38, having a first engaging projection 42a to be engaged with the first engaging recess part 44 and a second engaging projection 42b to be engaged with the second engaging recess part 46, is attached over the casing 32 and the body 14 so as to position the cylinder valve 28 in the rotating direction.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
