PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas leak detector capable of detecting a minute leak of gas independently of gas supplying pressure.;SOLUTION: This gas leak detector includes a pressure detection means 5 and a temperature detection means 3, these being installed on a gas conduit 17c for passing a vapor phase liquefied gas therethrough, and a control means 7 electrically connected to the detection means 3 and 5. After the passage of the gas in the conduit 17c is shut off, the control means 7 monitors changes in temperature and pressure in the conduit 17c by means of the detection means 3 and 5. When a prescribed period of time has passed after the shutoff of the gas passage, if a temperature detected by the detection means 3 is lower than that detected at the time of shutting off the gas passage and if a pressure detected by the detection means 5 keeps on falling, a gas leak is determined to exist. If the temperature detected by the detection means 3 is higher than that detected at the time of shutting off the gas passage and if the pressure detected by the detection means 5 is not higher than that detected at the time of shutting off the gas passage, a gas leak is determined to exist.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
