PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing Japanese horseradish-flavored Abelmoschus esculentus, taking the effect of flavor and pungent taste of cooked Japanese horseradish regardless of the harvest time.;SOLUTION: This method for producing Japanese horseradish-flavored Abelmoschus esculentus comprising boiling Abelmoschus esculentus substances 2 in a weak salt water for a given time followed by fixing the resultant product to a moderate size, subjecting the resultant product to a quick freezing treatment and then adding a proper amount of crushed chips 11 of Japanese horseradish rootstock 8 belonging to Brassicaceae and seasonings 14 and 15 to the frozen Abelmoschus esculentus substances 2 followed by packing the resultant product in a small bag 13.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
