ASSISTANT INSTRUMENT FOR LOWER EXTREMITIES HANDICAPPED PERSON TO MOVE BETWEEN BED AND WHEELCHAIR BY HIMSELF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an assistant instrument by which a lower extremities handicapped person can transfer to a bed and a wheelchair safely and easily by him self without calling for help of others.;SOLUTION: A wheelchair is placed near a bed, and a main shaft sleeve 1 into which the vertical shaft 2' of a turning arm 2 is inserted is set at a halfway position between the bed and the wheelchair, and a freely turnable seat 4 is mounted on the other side of the vertical shaft 2'. When moving between the wheelchair and the bed mutually, a handicapped person having his upper half with some exercise capacity can achieve the purpose safely and easily by himself without calling for help of others by using this instrument.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
