PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of performing the decomposition treatment of citrus wastes or used tea leaf wastes by aerobic fermentation stable in a natural environment without the need for feeding of special bacteria.;SOLUTION: The pulverized matter obtained by subjecting ≥1 kinds of auxiliary materials selected from the group of chaff, rice straw, stray of barley, dead grass, hay, pruning branches, waste timber, humus soil and leaf mold to pulverization treatment by a screw type pulverizing device constituted to crush and pulverize the auxiliary materials while grinding down the materials under pressurization, then to extrude the same into the atmosphere is used as the fermentation assistant. This assistant and the citrus wastes or the used tea leaf wastes are fed into a fermenter having agitating means where both are agitated and mixed and are subjected to the fermentation treatment under the aerobic atmosphere while the inside of the fermenter is subjected to ventilation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
