PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting method for scrap floating of a punch press capable of preventing an evil influence by scrap floating, a device therefor and a punch press which is equipped with this detecting device for scrap floating.;SOLUTION: When a work W is pressed by feeding a plate press 79 to a target feeding position, and it is detected that a punched residue 127 which is produced by a process conducted by cooperating of a punch P with a die D remaines on an upper face of the die D and the scrap floating is caused, a calculation part 167 calculates deflection of a frame 3 which is produced in processing, and the target feeding position of the plate press is determined as a position which substrates the amount of deflection of the frame 3 of a punch press 1 from a plate thickness t of the work W previously inputted above the upper face of the die D. After the elapse of the predetermined time since the plate press 79 starts to descend, when a judgment part 169 judges that an actual position of the plate press 79 which is detected by a plate press position detecting device 81 does not reach the target feeding position, it is judged that the scrap floating is caused, and an alarm process part 173 stops the descending of the plate press 79.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
