PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for supplying back insertion paper to a machine for manufacturing a cover of a book capable of stably connecting simply, easily handleable and flexible back insertion paper, cover cardboard and a cover blank at an accurate position.;SOLUTION: The apparatus for supplying the back insertion paper to the machine for manufacturing the cover of the book comprises a delivery roller 42 and a pressing roller 43 for synchronously drawing out a material web from a back paper roll, a cutter for disconnecting a cut piece of the web as the insertion paper 3, a means for conveying the paper 3 into a cardboard supply plane, and a cardboard supply unit for adhering an adhesive to the paper 3 and the cardboard and supplying the paper 3 and the cardboard synchronously with the cover blank supplied by a blank cylinder. The flexible paper 3 is guided by guides 44, 47 and 50, guided by the guide 47 in a opposite direction to the cardboard supplying direction in the cardboard supply plane by the roller 42 and the roller 43, and the paper 3 is fed until the paper 3 is completely moved to the supply plane.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
