PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent frost formation on a connection part between a liquid nitrogen intake part provided on a low-temperature handler and a liquid nitrogen supply pipe.;SOLUTION: This frost formation preventing device B is provided on the connection part 4 between the coolant intake part 2, for taking in a coolant into a thermostatic chamber 1 of an auto-handler A, having a low-temperature function and a coolant supply pipe 3 for supplying the coolant to the intake part 2. The preventing device B is provided with a connection cover 5 for covering the connection part 4, and fluid inlet and outlet ports 6 and 7 for causing a fluid to flow through the cover 5. The fluid is run from the inlet port 6 and let flow through the cover 5 to prevent temperature around the connection part 4 from being lowered sharply, thereby surely preventing frost formation on the connection part 4.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
