PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biochemical sensor having probes homogeneously trapped in every section.;SOLUTION: The probes to be used for detecting an objective substance of test are trapped on fine particles 3 in advance, and the fine particles 3 are fixed in every section 2 formed in a lattice state on a substrate 1 by using a surface-chemical patterning method. The fine particles having probes trapped are fixed in a close-packed state in a mono layer in every section. The amount of fine particles fixed on the substrate can be determined by using light scattering of the fine particles or by labeling the fine particles with a fluorescent substance in advance, and the number of probes trapped in each section of every chemical sensor can be determined.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
