PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device of destination printing for a tape printer capable of appropriately printing destination, which may be printed on a tape having a specific tape width, on a tape having a different tape width, and a method and device of destination label preparation thereby. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of mounting the tape to be printed, detecting the tape width, registering information consisting of n pieces (n is an integer of two or more) of items of constituting elements of mail destination, giving instruction of destination printing, and carrying out printing. In the case the tape width is a first tape width, based on the destination information by the instruction of destination printing, item images showing information of the n pieces of items are disposed as lines in one block to be printed. In the case the tape width is a second tape width, based on the destination information by the instruction of destination printing, the n pieces of item images are classified to m pieces (m is an integer of 2=m=n) of blocks, and the classified item images are disposed as lines in k (k is an integer of 1=k=m) blocks, which are printed in every block.
