PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automated rental system which automatically perform starting with member registration to returning of rental softwares without human interventions and the rental software used by the automatic rental system.;SOLUTION: This automatic rental system is constituted by connecting via a network a renting and returning system which stores the rental software, rents the rental software to a user, and receives the returned software and a data center which sends and receives messages to and from the user terminal that the user who desires to rent the rental software has; and the data center has a means which receives a request to become a member from the user terminal and examines the user; a means which rents the rental software to the user through the renting and returning system; and a means which makes the user to return the rental software rented by the renting and return system.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
