RETRIEVAL SERVER FOR RETRIEVING CONTENTS ON THE BASIS OF HUMAN EMOTION AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a retrieval server for retrieving contents on the basis of human emotion and a control method for a system having the same by which not only a piece of music which a person desires to listen to in a particular feeling, for example, but also another piece of music close to that piece of music can be simultaneously retrieved.;SOLUTION: This system is provided with a database having a data structure in which at least one feeling keyword is made to correspond to every title of a plurality of contents, the title and the feeling keyword is quantified by using quantification theory III and the title is positioned in a three-dimensional(3 D) space; a retrieval feeling keyword inferring means for inferring a retrieval feeling keyword composed of at least one feeling keyword out of retrieval designation information; and a retrieving means for quantifying the retrieval feeling keyword by using quantification theory III, positioning a retrieval- designated point on the 3D space and deriving the retrieved result in an order starting from the title positioned closest to the retrieval-designated point.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2001,JPO
