PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor element, that has a low specific resistance and is suppressed in resistance change caused by oxidation and deformation.;SOLUTION: This organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor element 10 contains a flat element 12. The element 12 is composed of an organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor composition. The thermistor composition is prepared by mixing conductive powder in a matrix resin, composed of a crystalline macromolecular material. The conductive powder contains secondary particles, each of which is obtained by cohering a plurality of primary particles of the metallic powder together. The means particle diameter of the secondary particles is adjusted to 5-30 times the primary particles.
