PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor element that has a low specific resistance and with the occurrence of resistance changes caused by oxidation and deformation suppressed. ;SOLUTION: This organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor element 10 contains a plate-shaped elemental body 12. The body 12 is composed of an organic positive temperature coefficient thermistor composition. The composition is prepared by mixing spherical metallic power, having many projections in a matrix resin composed of a crystalline macromolecular material. The metallic powder is surface-treated with an organic coupling agent. On both the main surfaces of the elemental body 12, electrodes 14a and 14b are respectively formed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
