INDUCER TO DORMANT EGG OF INSECT, AND METHOD FOR ALLOWING DORMANT EGG TO BE BORN

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an inducer to a dormant egg of an insect (e.g. a silkworm), having a function for allowing the dormant egg of the insect to be born, and hardly disturbing the physical state of an organism, and further, to provide a method for allowing the dormant egg to be born.;SOLUTION: This inducer to the dormant egg contains an insect-anesthetic peptide having an amino acid sequence represented by a sequence number 1 in the sequence table, Glu-Asn-Phe-Ala-Gly-Gly-Cys-Ala-Thr-Gly-Phe-Met-Arg- Thr-Ala-Asp-Gly-Arg-Cys-Lys-Pro-Thr-Phe, having a C-terminus formed into a free acid, and 2435.73 molecular weight as an active ingredient. The peptide has activities for inducing the dormant egg to the insect such as silkworm.
