NURSE CALL UNIT WITH VOICE RECOGNITION FUNCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse call unit that can be used by a patient having even a difficulty of using hands by means of a voice command.;SOLUTION: A removable memory card 15 registers in advance voice data of a keyword of a patient and is loaded to a slave terminal 10. A patient unable to use the hands utters its keyword and a small-sized microphone 14 picks up the keyword. The slave terminal 10 recognizes the voice of the keyword and connects the recognition result to a master terminal of a nurse center. The patient uses the small-sized microphone 14 and an earphone 13 inserted to its ear to call a nurse in the nurse center or to make a conversation with it. When the patient moves to another room or bed, the patient carries this memory card 15 and inserts the memory card to a slave terminal 10 at the new position to enable the slave terminal 10 to recognize the voice of the patient.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
