INFORMATION BARRIER-FREE SERVICE SYSTEM FOR ELDERLY PEOPLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information barrier-free service system for elderly people that can transmit a message in a form of electronic mail and a facsimile document only through a speech by a generic phone and recognize contents of the transmitted electronic mail and facsimile document without the need for the elderly people to learn how to operate a personal computer for transmission reception of electronic mail and how to operate a facsimile terminal. SOLUTION: When a server 1 receives a voice message from an elderly person's house through a generic phone addressed to children's contractors, the server 1 converts the message into electronic mail or a FAX document and transmits the electronic mail or the FAX document to a prescribed mail address or a facsimile terminal with a prescribed telephone number. Conversely when the server 1 receives a message in a form of electronic mail or FAX document addressed to the elderly person's house, the server 1 calls the generic phone at the elderly person's house to deliver contents of the electronic mail or the FAX document as a voice message to the elderly person.
