PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photo-curable and alkaline soluble carixarene derivative, and to provide a photo-curing composition containing this carixarene derivative, excellent in photo-curing property and alkaline-development property, and showing (a) high thermostability and (a) high-resolution property.;SOLUTION: The carixarene derivative having a polymeric unsaturated group, a phenolic hydroxy group and/or carboxy group, represented by formula (1) is provided [wherein, 0.1≤m1.0, n is an integer of 3-10, R is a 1-12C alkyl, X is (meth)acrylolyl or the like and Z is a hydrogen atom/or W (W is an acid anhydride residue and/or -CH2-COOH)].
