PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide rolls for using at the front and the rear parts of a rapid- cooling zone in a continuous heat treatment furnace for performing the heat treatment to a steel strip, and a rapid-cooling zone facility.;SOLUTION: The roll for using at the front and the rear parts of the raip- cooling zone in the continuous heat treatment furnace has a profile regulated with the following formulas. Lc≥0.7×Wmin, R=-0.1×10-3 to +0.2×10-3, TR≥20 wherein, Vc: the length (mm) of a flattened part, Wmin: the minimum width (mm) of the hoop steel, R: the gradient in the tapered part, TR: the curvature radius (m) at the boundary part of the flattened part and the tapered part.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
