Methods for simulating at least one characteristically of a system physically and to predict the characteristically of a system physically containing multiple fluids ".A method is provided for simulating at least one characteristic of a physical system. The physical system is separated into a plurality of cells positive (201 - 215) having boundaries between them.An initial estimate of state variables is assigned to each cell.For each cell, linear equations are constructed by relating its state variables with the variables of state of cells adjacent to it.A value of transportability is associated with each line, and lines are arranged corresponding to the values of transportability descendants.The ordinations of limit are used to build topologicamente one-dimensional rows of cells (50, 51).An equation of matrix for each row is constructed by the linear equations associated with the cells for each row.Improved estimates of variables of state of cells are determined to solve the equations of matrix.These state variables are then used to simulate at least one characteristic of the physical system.
